Join our evening event

You're invited to Turn Back Time at the official Wigmore Medical Presents afterparty, taking place at The Refinery Regent’s Place on Saturday 20th April.

We’ll make sure that the drinks flow as easily as the conversation, while you (Material Girls and Boy Toys) relax and soak up the atmosphere and entertainment at our gorgeous venue. In true Wigmore Medical style there will be a free open bar, canapés and bowl food, arcade machines and a magician, while providing the retro soundtrack will be 80’s tribute band Danger Zone. The 80’s dress code is optional but you’re encouraged to join us in sporting your best leg warmers, shoulder pads and scrunchies. The fun starts at 7pm and wraps up at 1am—make no mistake, it’s going to be a 'Thriller' of an evening!

Are we using a Ferrari to deliver bread? Why we are ignoring new technologies

New technology is key to evolving aesthetic practice, however integration into longstanding clinic offerings can be challenging as we strive to understand how to optimise patient care and outcomes.
Emerging new technologies can take our approach to aesthetic medicine to the next level, including:
DNA analysis to guide personalised treatment planning
Regeneration at a cellular level
Aesthetic outcomes from within

The middle-aged male face: an increasingly relevant challenge

Growing numbers of men are seeking aesthetic treatments to improve their self-image and take control of how they feel whilst ageing.Initially adopted by the younger generation, inevitably the middle-aged male face is increasingly prevalent in aesthetic practice. The bias within aesthetic medicine means practitioners’ comfort leans towards treating women, and the approach to the male face needs a different perspective.

Understanding pigmentation: the tyrosinase pathway and where other ingredients fit

Pigmentation remains one of the most common and complex skin concerns in aesthetic practice. Understanding the melanogenesis cascade-especially the tyrosinase pathway-is critical to effectively utilising topical treatments which in many ways, are still the gold standard in treatment disorders. Certain ingredients are old friends, and innovation in formulation and delivery mean greater efficacy with reduced reaction. We also explore newer ingredients and carrier technologies which disrupt the pigmentation cascade while being patient-friendly and straightforward to use in practice. This is a key session for improving patient care-and clinic revenue!

Duty of care—how to serve all patients so they have the skin they deserve

As healthcare professionals, out duty of care is to all our patients. In aesthetic medicine, this is an interesting analysis given the freedom of choice we have in the treatments we offer, the brands we partner with, and out individual focus in practice. How can we satisfy ourselves (and out patients) so that we fulfil our duty of care?
Open-mindedness; education of ourselves and our patients
Embracing the scope of new and established treatments
